धरती के साहिल हमारे हैं,
एकाकी तट जहाँ फल नहीं उगते, न फूल खिलते हैं,
बस हवा समन्दर की रूखी घास घण्टे दर घण्टे
बेरोक ला फेंकती है।
धरती के छोर पर इन वीरान जगहों के लिए
कोई हमसे न जलेगा, और किसी को न होगी परवाह
कि जहाँ रेत हमेशा समन्दर का अनचाहा प्यार लेती रहती है,
हम छोड़ जाएँगे अपने पैरों के खोए निशान।
