कुछ को
सबको नहीं,
सब में से बहुतों को भी नहीं
बल्कि बहुत कम को ।
नहीं गिन रही स्कूलों को, जहाँ ज़रूरी है
और ख़ुद कवियों को
एक हज़ार में कोई दो लोगों को ।

पसन्द है
पर किसी को चिकन सूप और नूडल भी पसन्द है
किसी को तारीफ़ें पसन्द हैं और नीला रंग
किसी को पुराना स्कार्फ़ पसन्द है
किसी को रौब जमाना पसन्द है
किसी को कुत्ते को सहलाना ।

कविता
पर कविता है क्या
कई ढुलमुल जवाब दिए गए हैं इस सवाल के
लेकिन मैं नहीं जानती, नहीं ही जानती
पर थामे हुए हूँ इसे
जैसे जंगला पकड़ते हैं ।
