लोकतन्त्र नहीं आएगा
आज, इस बरस
या कभी भी
समझौते और ख़ौफ़ से ।
मुझे भी उतना ही हक़ है
जितना उस दूसरे शख़्स को
कि खड़ा रहूँ अपने दो पैरों पर
और रहूँ मालिक अपनी ज़मीन का ।
मैं उकता गया हूँ यह सुनते-सुनते,
कि चलने दो चीज़ों को उनकी अपनी रफ़्तार से ।
कल एक नया दिन होगा ।
मुझे आज़ादी अपने मरने के बाद नहीं चाहिए ।
न ही आने वाले कल की रोटी से
मैं आज जी सकता हूँ ।
आज़ादी
एक कठोर बीज है
जिसे सख़्त ज़रूरत में ही बोया जा सकता है ।
मैं भी यहीं रहता हूँ ।
मुझे भी आज़ादी चाहिए
