चालीस दी क़ैदी उतरते हैं दो ट्रकों से
अनुशासित तरीके से
जेल के दरवाज़े के सामने। सामने ।
खुलता है विशाल प्रवेश द्वार
दब जाती है पंक्तियों की गिनती की ध्वनि)
कमांडर कमाण्डर घूरता है कैदियों क़ैदियों को एक एक कर
जब वे चल रहे हैं पंजों के बल
पराजितों का अनंतकालीन अनन्तकालीन विन्यास
मैं हूँ उनमें से एक
कदम क़दम रखता अपने ही ह्रदय की दहलीज़ पर
अतीत और वर्तमान के प्रवेश द्वार से
अस्तित्व का एक क्षण
